Guide to Cleaning Windows

How to Clean Your Windows Properly:

If you’re like me there are too many times when I’ll clean my window with cleaning spray and it leaves behind streaks or smudges. Often times, it’s difficult to get those marks out of your windows that are clearly shown by the sun. This doesn’t just affect your home windows but also car windows! I for one have used this remedy (down below) and it did wonders! There were spots that not even cleaning spray could get rid of, but vinegar was the trick!

(1) The best place to start is to wipe any lingering dust off your windows top to bottom. That way it doesn’t rub onto your cloth when you dry your windows. Even the smallest step can make a big difference!

(2) Find a spray bottle or a plastic container and fill part of it up with water and the other half with white vinegar. Preferably a spray bottle so it can be thoroughly mixed and spread across your window evenly. After you spray it across the desired area, take a clean cloth and wipe it CLEAN!!

(3) The third step to help you in getting the shiniest windows in town is to invest in some microfiber cloth or even a squeegee to clear away any left over streaks!

(4) Lastly, don’t forget to clean the interior as well as the exterior of your windows. Often times, even when the interior of your windows are spotless they can still appear dirty because of the dirt on the outside. Obviously, if it’s wintertime don’t freeze off your hands, but get the exterior cleaned before the snow sets in and when it melts away.

Our goal is for you to have clean and fresh looking windows that allow for the sun’s ray to clearly shine through your home. A cleaner homes makes a happy home.

Happy windows!
