Where Can I Buy Blinds?

There are many places to buy blinds, but it can be hard to remember them all! Here’s a short list of some possible resources to help you in your journey!

  1. Home Improvement

Stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Ace Hardware, and even IKEA carry a variety of blinds and window accessories. While most keep more common blinds in-stock, checking out their online options will give you their full product list and allow you to order in more variety. However, if you’re looking for different then you might need to look elsewhere. Home improvement stores usually try to sell what’s regular and what’s popular. It doesn’t make sense for them to give valuable shelf and storage space to products that aren’t everyday sellers.

  2. Online

Talking about online, websites such as Amazon, Overstock, Wayfair, The Shade Store, Blinds Online, and more, are a great modern day option. You can shop from the comfort of your couch! These online retailers may have access to more unique blind styles than you might not find at a home improvement store that is focused on selling more of the everyday styles of blinds. Additionally, you might find better shipping/return policies at one of these online retailers.

  3. Specialty

Some specialty businesses focused on blinds are Blinds.com, Blinds To Go, Budget Blinds, Select Blinds, and Blindsgalore. These have blinds on their mind and specialize in these window coverings. These stores often offer more custom styles, colors, functions, sizes, and materials. Some even offer installation options as well.

  4. Local

Checking local might bring up some options as well. Local stores might have more limited selections than larger stores, but you’re usually guaranteed to get the best options available! If you’re unsure of what you need, these local professionals can often walk you through your needs, and even help with measurements.

  5. Installers

While they may have the fewest options available, professional blinds installers typically have some blinds they can recommend. These will be blinds they commonly install and enjoy working with everyday. They can oftentimes help with measurements as well, and help you through the process. While they may not be as exhaustive of an option as a specialty or local supply store, they can still offer some great insight into potential blinds for your home!

That’s our quick list. Home Improvement, Online, Specialty, Local, and Installers. Your pursuit of any of these options may be influenced by the level of design you want, your budget, installation deadline, and more. They all have their pros and cons that affect you differently. We trust this list helps guide you a bit better.
