Spring Mulch Tip!

We were at a clients house to do some yard work where we came across what's pictured. These piles are from bags of mulch dumped out that were all from the same brand, all labeled as "red," and all purchased at the same store. As you can see, not all red!

As you're heading out to pick up some fresh mulch this weekend, watch out for a few things...

If possibly, try to grab all your mulch in one trip to make sure it's coming from the same "batch" of mulch. Further, grab from the same pallet. Be aware here as stores will often consolidate two partial pallets into one with two different shades getting mixed. Finally, once you get home, try to spread the mulch out so that any varying shades are mixed together seamlessly!

Just being aware could save you from wasting multiple trips to the store, extra money, and ultimately your time. Less time buying mulch = more time grilling!
